Anita Marie
Thomas
November 4, 1964 – March 30, 2026
With heavy hearts and profound love, we announce the passing of Anita Thomas, who departed this world on March 30, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer and multi-organ failure. Born in New York on November 4, 1964, Anita was a beacon of warmth, kindness, and laughter to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Anita was the cherished daughter of Rose and David, who predeceased her, as did her beloved grandparents, Walter and Christina Kiefer, her sister Arlen, her uncles Walter and Robert, and her first husband, Kevin, with whom she shared a deep bond from 1995 until his passing in 2015. Yet, life graced Anita with love once more, and in 2018, she found happiness again with her surviving husband, Eddie, who stood by her side with unwavering devotion.
Her memory lives on in the hearts of her children, Natosha and Jordan. Natosha, along with her husband Devan, gave Anita the joy of five grandchildren: McKinley, Xaiden, Ellie, Aurella, and Felix. Jordan continues her legacy with his own two children, enriching Anita’s life with the love and laughter of seven beautiful grandchildren.
Anita pursued her passion for helping others by earning a degree in Pharmacy Technology from Remington College in 2005. She thrived in her career until an unfortunate accident led to her becoming permanently disabled. Despite the challenges she faced, Anita’s spirit remained indomitable and full of life.
Her days were brightened by time with her grandchildren and daughter, and she found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life—playing with animals, shopping, dining out, and embarking on new adventures. Her essence was one of warmth and understanding, and she had a remarkable ability to make people feel seen and cherished. Anita’s humor and special qualities made her a treasured friend and confidante.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Theil Family Cremation, where family and friends will gather to honor Anita’s remarkable journey and bid farewell to a woman whose life touched so many.
In this time of sorrow, Natosha and the family extend their deepest gratitude to everyone who contributed to Anita’s GoFundMe and provided support during her final days. Your generosity and kindness have been a source of comfort and strength.
Anita Thomas will forever remain in our hearts as a testament to resilience, love, and the enduring power of a kind spirit. Her legacy is one of love, and she will be profoundly missed by all who knew her. May her soul find eternal peace, and may her memory inspire us to live with the same warmth and compassion she so generously shared.
