It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carol Fannetti Downie who left this world on June 12,2026.

Carol graduated from East Syracuse Minoa Highschool, Morrisville and RIT and became a Pharmaceutical Chemist. She worked for Bausch & Lomb and was a freelance consultant.

Carol retired early due to an illness. But she continued to live an active life.

Carol had many friends who she remained close to all her life. She was an excellent cook using many of her mother and grandmothers recipes. Carol was also a lifetime member of VFW Post 3352.

Carol is survived by her sister Sally Heater of Camillus, and her brother Edward Fannetti Jr of E.Syracuse and her Goddaughter Christine Murphy. She was predeceased by her parents Edward and Gertrude Fannetti, brother Michael Nunez and sister Cheryl Maloney.

Family and friends are welcome to gather at St Michael’s and St. Peter’s Church 4781 Seneca Turnpike on Saturday June 27, 2026 for a mass at 10:30 am and calling hours start at 9 am.
