Dave spent some of his younger years working in the automotive industry as a professional certified painter, later in life he went back to school and was certified for drilling and blasting in Canada. Dave worked in the drilling industry in Canada eventually relocating to the USA to work in the same field.
Dave was known as "Canadian Dave” to his friends.
His interests have always been wide and varied including fishing, hunting, camping, billiards, music, cooking, and being in the outdoors.
Dave has left behind his son John, His mother Ruth and brothers Stephen and Mark also his nieces, nephews, cousins and grandchildren.
Dave has now been reunited with his son Michael and his father Andrew, may they rest in peace together.
The family would like to express their appreciation and gratitude to the Doctors, Nurses, Chaplains and the entire Medical Team at HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital who helped Dave navigate his battle with cancer. They have gone above and beyond for him and his family and made it as easy as possible for him during this difficult journey.
In keeping with Dave’s wishes as an organ donor, a cremation has already taken place.
He will rest peacefully with his son and friends in Florida and his family back in Canada.
We would like to thank Theil Family Cremation for their compassionate care of Dave during his entire journey.
They have provided the utmost integrity throughout, for his family members during this time of mourning and loss.
While helping to organize Dave's personal belongings we found he carried the following passage with him;
" Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might! "
