Donna Jean
Lozaw
July 12, 1960 – April 15, 2026
Donna Lozaw was born on July 12, 1960, in Franklin, New Jersey. An only child by birth but a sister at heart to many, she passed away on April 15, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of immeasurable kindness and devotion.
To know Donna was to know a love that was both deep and delightfully silly. She moved through the world with an empathetic spirit and a goofy sense of humor that could brighten any room. Her compassion knew no bounds; she was a fierce protector of people and animals alike. Ever since she was a young girl, cats seemed to recognize her soul, often following her home as if they knew they had found a safe harbor.
Her life was anchored by her family, centered around her parents, only son and "the sisters of her heart," a small group of best friends she had loved since the age of three. Their sixty-year bond was a testament to Donna's loyalty and her ability to nurture lifelong connections.
At home, she found joy in the simple, sweet moments. She loved to bake, famous for her cookies and her nightly ritual of a half-peanut butter sandwich. She rarely finished a day without offering to split a Coke, always looking for a way to share a moment of togetherness with her family.
Even in her final days, as her body began to fail her, Donna's thoughts remained fixed on others. Her greatest wish was to recover not for herself, but so she could continue to be there for those she loved. She spent her life putting everyone else first, and that profound thoughtfulness is the gift she leaves with us.
She was preceded in death by her beloved father, Jerry C. Lozaw, whom she carried in her heart throughout her life. It was from him and her mother Judith Lozaw that she first learned the value of a close-knit family and the devotion she would later show to her own friends and son. While we mourn her loss here, we take comfort in knowing she has been reunited with her father.
She is survived by her mother Judith B. Lozaw, her only child Sean R. Doolittle, her lifelong friends Brenda Banki, Cindy Day, Diane Sigl, and the many lives, human and animal alike, that she touched with her grace.
