Gary Lee Shingledecker, 59, recently of Spring Hill, FL but originally of Grove City, PA. Born on September 7, 1967 in Franklin, PA to Roy and Margaret Shingledecker, went to be with God, surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer on September 24, 2026.

Gary graduated from Franklin Area High School in 1986 and attended North Carolina State University. He was well known for his outstanding athletic abilities.

Gary was employed by the Armstrong Group where he was a commercial sales representative for Guardian Protection.

Some of his joys of life besides spending time with his family were playing golf, coaching especially when his own children were involved, officiating basketball, baseball and softball. He truly enjoyed watching sports and was a lifelong fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers.

Gary was an amazing husband, father, PopPop, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend.

He had such a presence and influence on all that knew him. He will not be forgotten.

Along with his parents, he is survived by his loving wife, Michele (Shelly) Shingledecker, his children Taylor Stewart and son-in-law Mitch. Kyle, Morgan and Brooke Shingledecker. Gary was the proudest Pop Pop to Colson Ryan and Kendall Lee Stewart. His sister Lynn Smith and her husband Keith. Brother Steve Shingledecker and brother-in-law Chuck Rhoades, his wife Brenda, Ed Rhoades, his wife Denise and Scott Rhoades. Sister in law-Jody and her husband Tim Leas and his mother in law Rosie Rhoades. Along with several aunts and uncles,nieces and nephews..

Gary will be deeply missed not only by the family that loved him but by so many people that had shown tremendous love and support throughout his battle and life.
