James Warren Dykes, 51, of Port Richey, FL, passed away on August 7, 2026, due to infection complications, surrounded by his beloved wife, Natalie, and children, Hayden and Gavin.

James was born 51 years ago, to Mary Case and Dennis Dykes in Jefferson City, MO. He attended college and studied Computer Information Systems and Criminal Law.

Early in life, James met Natalie (Marcum) Dykes, his wife and partner in life. They have been together for 30 years. Natalie was James’s personal cheerleader, and the love of his life. They lived in Port Richey, Fl with two of their sons, Hayden Buford and Gavin Dykes, and their pets. James and Natalie raised three incredible children (Hayden, Gavin, and Zara) together.

James will be greatly missed by his wife Natalie (Marcum) Dykes, Hayden Buford, Gavin Dykes, and Zara Buford (their children), Mary & Gary Case, and Dennis & Gwen Dykes (parents), Michelle Jordan (sister), and Drew Jordan (brother-in-law). He worked as an Information Security Manager for DEX Imaging in Tampa, FL.

James had the biggest heart and the most unshakable character. He was a private and quiet person, but also very witty and fun. James was fearless and independent, yet sensitive and incredibly compassionate. He loved the beach, vacations, swimming, fishing, video gaming, family time, his dog and cats, hiking, and camping. James had impeccable moral character and was a rock others could lean upon. He was strong-willed and stubborn, but those traits defined James. They were part of who he was, and his strength undoubtedly helped him deal with challenges. James was a role model to his children who strive to follow his example of integrity, strength, and character. He was loved and cherished.

James was a strong fighter and a protector of his family, but he is now embarking on a journey to protect and guide us from afar. We know that he is free from pain and protecting us. James was our Superman, and will continue to be, even if we can no longer see him. We will forever feel the profound impact he left upon us.
