Josephine Galgani, aged 89, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family in New Port Richey, FL. Born on April 1, 1936, in the Bronx. Josephine was of pure love and intelligence, whose generosity was unbelievable.

Josephine's early years laid a strong foundation for the remarkable woman she would become. Her spirit was so vibrant as the red on her nails and lips, she carried that energy throughout her life. A devoted family woman, Josephine's heart and home were always open to those she loved. She was THE matriarch of a large and loving family, including her children Gina Prine, David Galgani, Mary Dukas (Bruce), Peter Galgani (Susan), and Lisa Morgantini (Rob). The legacy of her love is carried on through her 17 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and another great-grandchild on the way. She is survived by her sisters Angelina & Laura and Brother John with endless cousins, nieces and nephews. She joins her predeceased husband Peter and daughter Tracey.

Josephine's professional life was marked by over two decades of dedicated service as a controller at Meyer Jabara Hotels, where her intelligence and attention to detail were invaluable. She was not only respected for her work ethic but also deeply admired for her ability to balance her career with her commitment to her family.

Josephine found immense pleasure in cooking. She was a Master in the kitchen, that brought her family together around countless delicious meals. It didn’t matter if you had 1 friend or 30 over, she always had enough. Her love for cleaning was legendary, she cleaned the clean!! Josephine also enjoyed the thrill of the casino and her scratch-offs. Her passion for holiday decorations was evident to anyone who had the pleasure of stepping into her home during a holiday. Oh and then the dollar bills!!! What card didn’t have one?

Josephine Galgani's life was of love, dedication, and warmth. She will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her memory will be treasured, her lessons remembered, and her presence missed. Josephine's life story will continue to inspire her family and friends for generations to come. Those who knew Josephine will remember her thoughtfulness. Her actions and words consistently demonstrated her deep care for others, making her a treasured friend. She had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel special, and her absence will leave a void in the hearts of many.
