Kenneth Everett Koetsier, age 77, of Tampa, Florida, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2026, at Marliere Hospice House in New Port Richey surrounded by his loving son Korey and daughter-in-law Julia Koetsier.
Born February 20,1948 in Paterson New Jersey, he was the child of Everett and Evelyn Koetsier. He graduated from Hawthorne High School in 1966. Kenneth was a NJ State police officer and corrections officer for Rahway State Prison in 1971-1972. He later served with Ocean County, Toms River Sheriff Department. After his service in law enforcement, he became a leading Salesman with Clark Dunbar, Bob’s Carpet-mart, and CarpetMax. Before retiring, he was a security guard for Allied University Security Services for private offices and campus security including Life University College.
Kenneth Everett Koetsier married Diane Engelhardt in 1975, they were together for 25 years and had one son, Korey Robert Koetsier.
Kenneth loved the water and everything nautical, boating, camping, tinkering with cars and motorcycles! He loved karaoke and often performed one of his favorite songs by Louis Armstrong “What a wonderful world”. He was a man of faith and regularly attended NorthStar church services.
Preceded in death by parents Everett, Evelyn, his brother David Koetsier and his loving girlfriend Janet Camden.
Survived by his son Korey, daughter-in-law Julia, brother Steven, nieces Kathy Bottoms, Cindy Tintle and second wife, Debbie Guillot.
Kenny left a legacy of witty humor, kindness, perseverance, and loving friendship that touched so many lives. He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed!
A Celebration of his life will be held at Morgan-Kaduk Funeral Home on Friday January 9th from 4:00-5:30PM.
