Pamela Louise Tomlin Hopkins was born on November 7, 1958, in Ocala, Florida, to the late Edward and Hattie Tomlin. On December 15, she peacefully transitioned from this life in New Port Richey, Florida, leaving behind a legacy of love, quiet strength, and unforgettable presence.
Pamela was a true free spirit—a woman of few words, but when she spoke, her words would leave you laughing and make you feel deeply loved in her own special way. Her humor was effortless, her wit perfectly timed, and her presence quietly comforting. She didn’t need to say much to be felt; her love was known.
Above all, Pamela cherished her girls. Her eyes lit up every time they walked into the room, and her joy in them was unmistakable. She was the proud mother of her eldest daughter, Tamara Hopkins of Atlanta, Georgia, and her baby girl, Kristin Graham (Damien) of Savannah, Georgia. Her heart overflowed with pride and love for her grandchildren, Lola M. Watts, Lena M. Bryant, and Carmie Bryant V, each of whom brought her immense happiness.
Pamela was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Edward and Hattie Tomlin; her brothers, Eddie “Tom” Tomlin and Wade Tomlin; and her sisters, Alice “Muff” Tomlin, Brenda Bernard, and Karen Crudup.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving siblings, Belinda Davis (Lonnie) and Michael G. Tomlin (Janetta), who will forever hold close the memories they shared. She is also survived by her devoted daughters, her grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, extended family members, and dear friends whose lives were touched by her quiet humor, gentle spirit, and unmistakable love.
Though Pamela may have spoken softly, her love spoke loudly. Her spirit lives on in the laughter she inspired, the love she gave so freely, and the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Scripture
