Rita E. Jacobs, 83, of Tarpon Springs, Florida, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving daughters on May 9th, 2026.

Rita was born March 26, 1943, in Auburn, Maine, to Clarence & Doris Ouellette. She received her education in Auburn schools, and soon after, she married and started her family. As her children matured, she embarked on a lasting career at J.C. Penney, which continued until her retirement.

Rita had a deep love for her family and friends, but her greatest passion was shopping.

She is survived by her three daughters: Sharon (Bob), Sheila (Tim), and Shelly; her grandchildren: Amber and Dylan; great-grandchildren: Trey and Talia; and her beloved grandpups: Ted & Louis.

Rita was predeceased by her mother, Doris Bailey; her daughter, Sherri Jacobs; and her granddaughter, Ashlee Lauze.

In lieu of flowers, consider a trip to the mall. It would be the perfect tribute to Rita's memory, allowing you to indulge in a bit of retail therapy, just as she would have enjoyed.
