Robin Ellen Picerno of Spring Hill, Florida, passed away peacefully on 5 July 2026 at the age of 72. She was born on 25 April 1954 to Eva and William Wehner in Rockville Centre, New York. She attended Seaford High School (New York) where she developed a love of music and was active in the school chorus. Robin graduated high school in 1972; then graduated a year later from Taylor Business Institute’s secretarial school in Hempstead, New York. She began work at Ontel as a secretary where she met James Picerno, who she later married in September of 1979. They had two daughters, Elena and Dianna, and were married for 25 years.

Robin had many hobbies including crafting, sewing, and crocheting. She was an active member of the Suncoast Girl Scout Council for many years, volunteering first with a troop as cookie mom and later as a troop leader and trainer. Robin loved spending time with her grandchildren, cooking and spending time with her family. She was known for her love of music and her constant willingness to give to others. She is survived by her sister, Gail Reissig, daughters, Elena Schachter and Dianna Picerno and their spouses Roy Reissig, Jason Schachter, and Claude Cote; two nephews, Randall and Bryan Reissig; three grandchildren, Megen Schachter, Dominic and Emilio Cote; two stepchildren, Susan Smith and Thomas Picerno; their spouses, Dennis Smith and Cheryl Picerno; their adult children Jonathan, Jeremy, Melanie, Allison, and Sydney; and their families.

The family wishes to thank Brooksville Health Care Center and Sturgill Hospice House for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Girl Scouts of West Central Florida or Sturgill Hospice House in Robin’s memory.
