With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Thomas W. McKee (Tom), age 74, on June 1, 2026 in Hudson, FL.

Tom was born on October 15, 1951, in Mineola, NY. He moved with his family to Orlando, FL in 1967, where he graduated from Winter Park High School in 1969. He attended FTU before proudly serving his country in the U.S. Army, stationed in Stuttgart, Germany, for over two years.

Tom is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Gwen; their son, Matthew (Jared); his sister, Mary McKee (Sig) of Beverly, MA; brother-in-law Mark Wood (Kathy); niece Mary Pollard (Mike); and great-niece Amber Dalton (Johnny), all of Rapid City, SD.

Tom devoted over 30 years to the car rental industry, holding General Manager roles with National Car Rental, Budget Rent a Car, and Thrifty Car Rental before retiring in 2008.

Tom had a deep love for family and friends, and leaves behind a wealth of cherished memories. A proud Florida sports fan, he cheered on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Tampa Bay Rays, and his beloved Florida State Seminoles. He will be remembered for his sharp wit, his gift for making people laugh, and the joy he brought to those around him. His happiest moments were spent out on the water, soaking up the sun, or with his feet in the sand.

He is preceded in death by his father, Thomas H. McKee, and his mother, Dorothy, both of Flagler Beach, FL.

The family wishes to celebrate his life privately at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his memory to The Parkinson's Foundation at The Parkinson's Foundation.
